Inter admission schedule announced

BIE Secretary G. Balaramaiah has said that admissions into Intermediate courses should be made on the basis of marks obtained in the 10th class examinations and no test should be conducted. Those violating the norms would attract stringent punishment.

In a statement here, he said that sale of applications for admissions will start from May 26 and the last date for submission of forms by students would be June 30. Admissions of the first phase will begin on June 1 and end on June 30. Unaided junior colleges should not make more than 88 admissions in each section and they should be made in additional sections after obtaining permission from BIE.

Admissions should not be made in the combinations dropped by the BIE. College managements have to prominently display the number of sections sanctioned by the BIE in their notice board and the number of seats filled and vacant, the statement added.
